Deep Clean & Preventative Maintenance
  • Test all GFCI outlets.

  • Clean exhaust fans in the bathroom and kitchen.

  • Inspect plumbing for leaks or drips, especially under sinks.

  • Inspect and clean out dryer vent.

  • Empty/clean washing machine drain pump filter (accessible filters only).

  • Inspect and tighten laundry hoses.

  • Inspect and clean heat exchanger filters.

March
​Spring Preparation
  • Inspect fire extinguishers; ensure they are fully charged.

  • Inspect windows (interior and exterior, weather permitting).

  • Test and inspect sump pump.

  • Clean condensation lines from heat exchanger, furnace, humidifier, etc…

  • Test all drains. Clean out drain lines and adjust stoppers as needed.

  • Inspect/descale humidifier water panel.

Outdoor Prep & Safety Checks
  • Replace furnace filter

  • Refill softener salt

  • Do minor outdoor wood structure touch ups on decks or fences, if needed.

  • Inspect attic insulation and check for signs of pests.

  • Inspect roof for damage, loose shingles, or leaks.

  • Clear first story gutters and downspouts of any winter debris.

  • Clean and inspect outdoor HVAC/ A/C unit; remove debris.

  • Replace/clean screens in windows and doors.

  • Inspect exterior of home, foundation for cracks or water pooling, caulking, problem areas.

Mid-Year Tune-Up

  • Test all locks and deadbolts for security.

  • Check and tighten any loose cabinet hardware or door handles.

  • Inspect window wells and basement windows.

  • Inspect home exterior for vent obstructions, insects, wasps nest, etc.

Pre-Fall Prep
  • Inspect and touch up exterior paint as needed.

  • Check all water hoses and connections for leaks.

  • Tighten loose handrails or deck railings.

  • Inspect and clean kitchen range hood and filters.

  • Look for cracks in the driveway or walkways; seal as needed.

  • Lubricate garage door tracks and inspect opener.
